About Ali
I started Anlyto because most analytics work I saw was either too shallow or too grand. Agencies would hand clients a dashboard template and call it "attribution." SaaS teams would buy Mixpanel, fire a page_view event, and wonder why retention looked flat. Leadership would complain that numbers from Meta and GA4 didn't match, and nobody could explain why.
Good analytics work is mostly boring. It's a tracking plan written as a spec, not a Notion page. It's server-side GTM quietly routing events with the right consent flags. It's a dashboard that opens in under two seconds and says what changed last week in one sentence. The hard part isn't the tool, it's the discipline.
Everything on this blog comes from implementations we've shipped. If I write about an attribution decision or a sGTM architecture, there's a production deployment behind it. I'll call out where a pattern worked, where it bit us, and what I'd do differently the second time.
What I work on
Most engagements fit one of these shapes:
- GA4 + GTM rebuilds for teams whose current setup has drifted past the point of patching. Usually two to three weeks, ending with a clean container, a dataLayer spec, and documentation someone else can maintain.
- Server-side GTM deployments on Cloud Run, AWS Fargate, or self-hosted. Usually because iOS private relay and Safari ITP have eaten measurement, or because legal wants PII stripped before it hits Meta and TikTok.
- Product analytics instrumentation in Mixpanel, Amplitude, or PostHog. The tracking plan comes first, the code second, the dashboard last.
- Marketing analytics and Looker Studio dashboards for agencies that want to deliver reporting under their own brand without hiring an analytics team.
- CRO programs built on pre-registered hypotheses and statistical rigor, not growth-hack tweets. Usually GrowthBook or Optimizely.
